• Clicking refresh on your email constantly

Whether you are waiting for an important email or not, you should not refresh your email every second. It is better to continue working on other things and check your email intermittently.

• Sitting too close to the screen

Many of us are guilty of this. We have the tendency of sitting too close to our computer not for a few minutes but for hours. It’s best to sit straight during the day with good posture.

Netflix App Update Now Supports Movies Download To MicroSD: Download For Android & iOS HERE!!

Top movies/TV show streaming platform Netflix added support for saving movies for offline watching last year with the feature limited to saving videos to Internal memory only. 

However, Netflix in its new app update (Netflix v4.13) has upgraded the video saving feature to support saving of offline videos to external SD Card.

Glo/Airtel Records Gain as MTN/Etisalat Records Loss in June 2016 Internet Subscriber Count

The new subscriber acquisition report released by the telecom industry regulator for the month of June has shown that data grandmasters, Globacom, once more soared high above other telecoms operators in the country.

Globacom has a total of 26,628,065 data users in June which is an increase from the 26,355,391 it had in May, showing an additional 272,674 new data subscribers. Recall that the telecoms company gained only 49,124 new data users in April.

Airtel trailed behind with a total of 17,325,423 subscribers in June as against the 17,280,089 new subscribers it had in May. The figures showed that Airtel increased its data users by 45,334.

MTN Nigeria recorded a loss of 134,609 in June in the period under review. The company pulled a total of 32,974,177 as against the 33,108,786 internet users it recorded in May.

Etisalat also recorded a loss as a total of 254,511 left the network in the same period. The company garnered a total of 15,253,513 data users down from the 15,508,024 internet users it had in May.

Twitter releases over 200 Olympic Games emojis

Social media company wants people across the world to share the Rio 2016 experience with hundreds of emojis

The Olympic Games are finally here with the opening ceremony at Maracanã Stadium on Friday kicking off a three-week extravaganza of sport.

To mark the occasion, Twitter have released 207 brand new team emojis so Fans across the globe can share their passion and follow their favorite teams.

Tweeting with the three-letter country code hashtags will trigger flag emojis for each of the countries, including the Refugee Olympic Team (#ROT).​
While the country flags and sport icons make up most of the emojis, there are more general hashtags that go along with the Olympic Games, medals and the ceremonies.

Athletes and fans alike have already started to get in the spirit of the games by promoting their team or their sport with the hashtags and emojis. Like Indian hockey player Sania Mirza:

The hashtags have caused a little confusion in some circles, though. University of Georgia fans in the US woke up to discover that they were now following the Ugandan Olympic team at the Olympic Games.

The hashtags that trigger the emojis will be available in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish. The individual sports emojis, as well as #Rio2016 and #Olympics, are also available in Japanese, Korean, and Arabic.

Namibian Teen Invents Phone Box With TV Functions, Calls Without Airtime!!

In what has turned out to be a viral innovation, A Namibian 12th Grader has invented a SIM-free box telephone.
Simon Petrus of Abraham Iyambo Senior Secondary School in Namibia created the communication device that makes free calls as well as view a Television 📺 channel.



The device which is yet to be given a name was built with the use of electronic parts from a television set and a phone.
The Petrus-box as I have chosen to call it features a fan, a 💡 light bulb as well as a charger socket.
The Petrus-box is supplied with power from a radiator and like army radio communicator devices, it makes calls to anywhere through the use of radio frequencies.

 Made up of a radio system attached to a box, the Petrus-box is able to watch the NBC1 TV channel - further improvement could increase viewable channels.



Inventor Simon Petrus has previously won a national gold medal last year when he invented a 2 in 1 machine that has a dual functionality of a seed drier as well as a cooler.
Petrus has been working on the Petrus-box for the 2 years now with the project sponsored by his parents.
He hopes further improvements will be made to his phone box.

Skydiver survives 25,000 foot jump without a parachute

Aikins, a 42-year-old with more than 18,000 jumps to his name already, jumped from an altitude of 25,000 feet en route to becoming the first person ever to skydive and land without using a parachute or wingsuit, according to the Washington Post and the New York Daily News.
Instead, Aikins leapt from a platform in the desert wearing an oxygen mask, which he removed about 7,000 feet into his freefall, and used GPH and lights to land on a target emblazoned onto a 100-foot by 100-foot net suspended 200 feet above the ground – all on national TV, as the entire stunt was broadcast live on Fox. “I'm almost levitating, it's incredible,” he told the Associated Press after landing. “This thing just happened! I can't even get the words out of my mouth.” He then thanked the crew members who helped him prepare for the jump, which was two years in the making, and later posted a message to his Facebook page expressing gratitude for the support he received.

While other divers have made jumps without chutes, the Washington Post pointed out that they either were assisted by a partner who had a parachute, put one on after leaping from the plane, or used a wingsuit to help control their decent. Aikins had none of those support systems.
For that reason, the dive almost never happened, as reports indicate that the Screen Actors Guild almost forbade Aikins from making the jump without a parachute. He almost called off the jump at that point, claiming that wearing a chute would have actually made the jump more dangerous, but the Guild ultimately relented and the dive went on as originally scheduled.

Three other skydivers made the jump as well, but each of them were wearing parachutes. One of them recorded the jump using a camera, while another left a smoke trail so that the people on the ground could following his descent and the third carried the oxygen canister used by Aikins. The trio then opened their chutes at a target altitude and left him to complete the free-fall on his own.
The lights being used to guide Aikins were strong enough to be visible at 25,000 feet, and would change color if he was off course, allowing him to attempt to make adjustments, according to the Post. After successfully landing, Aikins climbed out of the net, walked over to his wife, Monica, and four-year-old son, Logan, were watching, and gave both of them a big hug
