Brazilian officials refuse to register a baby's Yoruba & Ethiopian names, said it could cause "future suffering"

A couple has been told by Brazilian officials to change their newborn daughter's Yoruba & Ethiopian names because they made "no sense at all" and could cause "possible future suffering". However, the couple, Cizinho Afreeka and Jéssica Juliana insist the real reason their daughter’s chosen name, Makeda Foluke, was denied is racism.

When the new parents found out they were expecting a baby girl, they wanted to give her an African name. So they picked Makeda (after the Ethiopian Queen of Sheba) and Foluke, a Yoruba name. But after baby Makeda Foluke was born, Brazilian officials in Rio de Janeiro, where Afreeka and Juliana live, refused to register the baby, citing concerns with her name.

According to the blog Black Women In Brazil, anytime a baby is born in the South American nation the baby’s name must be registered with officials. Although it seems like a simple process, when the parents tried to register their newborn daughter’s name, they were turned down.

Officials at the registration office said the baby girl’s name made "no sense at all" when pronounced in Portuguese and “could provide possible future suffering for the person in social life."
The couple think the decision is based on racism.

"It’s a form of racism that takes place in Brazil: the racism of subtleties," Afreeka said. "It should be very natural a man and a black woman adopting an African name, as the country is made up of three races. It is difficult to prove. Only those in this skin is knows."

Registration officials insisted racism wasn’t the problem, it was the name. Apparently, whenever a child is named, officials have to assess whether or not the name can affect the child later in life, which leads many parents to choose European-sounding names. Luiz Fernando, a civil registration official, said:
"The procedure is necessary with any name that can be used to leave the child in a vexatious situation or bullying. You have to filter. These procedures are normal, no one refused to do the registration. It is not the name, not the meaning. It’s pronunciation, diction. Racism is rarely in people’s minds."
Brazil officials suggested the couple give Makeda a more European-sounding first name and use the African-sounding one as her middle name. The couple refused.

"It’s not a name phonetically alien to Portuguese, we thought about it. There are African names that change the pronunciation and cause greater estrangement," Juliana said.

"We decided together quite in early in the pregnancy and we came to call her Makeda. Family and friends already speak naturally because we were inserting this. What’s the problem with naming her Makeda if they register so many European names?"

Clutch magazine reports that the parents will have to appeal to a judge to see if they can officially give her an African name. But if things don’t turn out in their favour, Makeda’s parents said they’re still not changing their mind.
"I will keep on until the end,” Afreeka vowed. "Either it will be Makeda Foluke or she’ll be with no registration."

Khloe talks about her sexual life

Khloe Kardashian is very open when it comes to her Sex:’ual preferences .The reality star took to her app today to share her thoughts on different bedroom fetishes and fantasies. She wrote
“Everyone has Sex:’ual fantasies or fetishes, and if you say you don’t, you’re straight-up lying!” .There’s no shame in having your preferences in bed, but some fetishes just don’t match up with the things that get me going! Here’s how I’d rate five fetishes on a scale from 1 to 10 (or: ‘Fair Game’ to ‘F**k No’)!”
Khloe continued,
“Foot Fetish: If the guy I was dating had a foot fetish, I think I could deal. I guess it depends, though. I don’t mind if someone thinks I have pretty feet or wants to massage my feet. I don’t even care if you kiss my feet! But the really kinky shit—like foot jobs, LOL—it’s like, what the hell are you doing?!
“Sadists get off on pain, which I can appreciate—
I keep a rhinestone whip by the side of my bed!!!””I like ‘love bites,’ as long as they’re done kindly. Don’t make me bleed, LOL! I’ve seen some intense documentaries where people are in cages and sh*t like that, which is NOT for me. Don’t even try. My rating for sadism is: 4/10.”
Khloe says she’s hesitant when it comes to involving food with bedroom activities.
“That doesn’t do it for me at all!!! I mean, a whipped cream moment is OK, but I don’t want to eat when I’m having Sex:’! Definitely not something savory—there is NOTHING Sex:’y about comfort food, LOL!!!”If my partner wanted to bring a full meal into the bedroom, I don’t think I could do it.”
“Furries:
Some people like getting dressed up as animals when they have Sex:’. Just not my thing,” Khloe dished. “My rating for a furry fetish is: 10/10.”
Last but not least, “adult babies.
“F**k no!!!”. “I’m sorry, but I’m gonna have to change your diaper one day when you’re old and gray, so I do not want that to turn me on. Nope. My rating for an adult baby fetish is: 10/10.”

Court Orders Documents on British Police Corruption released to Ibori

This is a signed press statement by Tony Eluemunor, Media Assistant to Chief James Onanefe Ibori.
A British Crown Court has ordered the immediate release of documents and other materials uncovered by James Ibori's former solicitor Gohil Bhadresh suggesting that British Metropolitan Police Officers investigating James Ibori, fraudulently obtained materials and documents against Gohil Bhardesh and James Ibori.

A press statement from Tony Eluemunor, Chief Ibori’s Media Assistant, said that His Honour Judge Tester of Southwark Crown Court on Friday directed the prosecution to comply with his order made on January 21st this year and release to James Ibori's counsels the documents. The prosecution had initially refused to release the documents and other materials which suggested police involvement in corruption and fraud in the James Ibori's and Gohil Bhadresh's case.

This order followed the dramatic turn of event in the case brought by the Crown Prosecution against Gohil accusing him of attempt to pervert the course of justice but which the crown prosecution dropped following damaging and incriminating documents uncovered by Gohil Bhadresh which the Prosecution had lied ever existed.

The allegations of corruption and documents suggesting thousands of pound sterling were paid into the bank account of the investigating police officers involved in the case and attempt by both the crown prosecution and the British Police to cover up this grave misconducts have greatly damaged the credibility of materials and documents relied upon by the crown and police in this case. Subsequently, all the crown prosecutors and police officers handling the case have been removed from the case.

According to the statement, a new vista has opened in the Ibori London trial, as James Ibori's former solicitor, Gohil Bhadresh has approached the court of appeal to quash his conviction because the Police and the crown prosecution may have misled the court and have been neck deep in corruption. This new development may totally change this whole case as the new documents suggesting Police misconduct in the handling of the case may mean the last has not been heard in James Ibori's trial in London.
