Mariah Carey hospitalised over severe flu

TMZ reports Mariah Carey was hospitalized on Wednesday with a severe case of the flu.
Mariah appeared at the Pier 1 Christmas Pop Up Storybook event in New York on Tuesday despite feeling sick but by Wednesday she was overcome with illness. The singer was reportedly rushed to a hospital in New York after experiencing severe flu symptoms including dehydration.
A representative for Mariah released a statement to People about Mariah's condition.

[Mariah] had been feeling under the weather with the flu over the past few days and was fighting it to the best of her abilities. She is doing well now and will be performing as scheduled this weekend. She thanks her lambs for the continued support and well wishes.

Mariah is still expected to perform at the Hot 97's "Hot for the Holidays" concert in New Jersey on Saturday and could be out of the hospital later on Wednesday. Mariah is reportedly receiving IV treatments to replenish fluids and vitamins during her hospital stay. Get well soon, Mimi!
