Chelsea Football Club have submitted plans of their new 60,000 capacity
stadium to the Fulham and Hammersmith council. Stamford Bridge will still be the name of the stadium and will cost an estimated £600m. Also in the application are plans to build a club shop, museum and a
separate restaurant/cafe zone.
If given the go ahead by the council to build the stadium, construction could begin as early as May 2016, the club will vacate the stadium at the end of 2016\2017 season and plaay their home matches at Wembley stadium. See Pictures of the proposed new stadium after the cut.
